Hipodermóclise em pacientes sob cuidados paliativos: novas recomendações farmacêuticas para a prática clínica

Resumo
Cuidados paliativos (CP) são definidos pela Organização Mundial de Saúde como uma abordagem que melhora a qualidade de vida de pacientes e suas famílias que enfrentam problemas associados a doenças que ameacem a vida. A hipodermóclise (HDC) é considerada a segunda principal via de administração em pacientes sob CP sendo recomendada principalmente em casos de impossibilidade de ingestão por via oral e difícil acesso venoso. Por ser uma prática considerada antiga, cada vez mais medicamentos são testados e recomendados para utilização via HDC. O farmacêutico é o profissional responsável por sanar as dúvidas relacionadas aos medicamentos, podendo não estar devidamente atualizado e qualificado referente ao tema. O objetivo deste trabalho foi descrever as novas recomendações farmacêuticas dos medicamentos e fluidos utilizados através da HDC através de uma revisão integrativa. A revisão foi realizada nas bases de dados Medline; Embase; Cochrane Database; Literatura Latino-Americana em Ciências da Saúde e Scientific Eletronic Library Online, incluindo publicações de qualquer idioma a partir do ano de 2015. Os critérios de exclusão foram: artigos sobre HDC em CP pediátricos e artigos que contenham apenas informações técnicas envolvendo essa via. A busca pelas publicações resultou em 872 artigos. Destes, 67 foram analisados integralmente, sendo 42 incluídos. A sumarização das novas recomendações farmacêuticas referentes à administração de medicamentos e fluidos via HDC pode auxiliar no direcionamento deste profissional na retirada de dúvidas e tomada de decisões baseadas em evidência, promovendo a otimização da farmacoterapia dos pacientes sob CP.
