The article's objective is to conduct a review of studies investigating skateboarding as a physical practice and its interaction with territory. The methodology involved the analysis of 26 studies, including 18 articles, 6 dissertations, and 2 theses, categorizing the most recurrent terms in the conclusions of these works. The results highlight three main categories: the skateboarders themselves, the spatial context of their practices, and skateboarding as an activity that goes beyond sport. It was observed that skateboarders reconfigure urban spaces, transforming them into territories of leisure and sociability. Additionally, the studies indicate that public policies aimed at urban leisure are still limited and deserve greater attention. The article concludes that youth skateboarders challenge urban order by reinterpreting public space, bringing important reflections on territory, identity, and leisure.
Victor Hugo Nedel Oliveira Júlia Miglioretto Nicole Marceli Nunes Cardoso Daniel Giordani Vasques Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252355 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2355 Cross-cutting themes in didactic productions by members of the Programa de Residência Pedagógica at FCL Unesp/Assis https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2243
During the 2020-2022 cycle of the Programa de Residência Pedagógica, a research study titled "Initial Training of Spanish Language Teachers in the Programa de Residência Pedagógica of FCL Unesp/Assis: Constructing Critical Teaching" (ÁVILA, 2022) was developed at the master's level, stemming from a training workshop offered to residents of the Letters course - Spanish language subproject of FCL Unesp/Assis. Throughout the preparation and execution of the workshop, during which action research was conducted, the topic of "cross-cutting themes" was not formally named as a subject of knowledge in the activity schedule. Subsequently, enrolling in the specialization course in Cross-Cutting Themes at IFSP Salto provided an understanding that the construction of critical teaching, by presenting and problematizing historical, cultural, political, and geographical contexts involved in language teaching, needs to implicitly address social issues. With the aim of reflecting on the importance of cross-cutting themes in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, we revisited the completed research, specifically focusing on the four didactic sequences produced by the residents at the conclusion of the workshop. We conducted a qualitative documentary analysis to verify the presence of cross-cutting themes in the productions and, if present, how the approach was or could be conceived. Without receiving this designation, cross-cutting themes were identified both as a reality and a possibility in the didactic proposals, demonstrating that resident graduates understood the significance of connecting language with the social world when teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Ariadne Beatriz Ávila Mauricio Bronzatto Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252243 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2243 Hypodermoclysis in patients under palliative care: new pharmaceutical recommendations for clinical practice https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2099
Palliative care (PC) is defined by the World Health Organization as an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing problems associated with life-threatening illnesses. Hypodermoclysis (HDC) is considered the second main route of administration for patients undergoing PC and is mainly recommended in cases of impossibility of oral ingestion and difficult venous access. As it is considered an old practice, more medications are being tested and recommended for use via HDC. The pharmacist is the professional responsible for answering questions related to medicines and may not be properly updated and qualified on the topic. The objective of this work was to describe the new pharmaceutical recommendations for the use of medications and fluids through HDC. The review was carried out in the Medline databases; Embase; Cochrane Database; Latin American Literature in Health Sciences and Scientific Electronic Library Online, including publications in any language from 2015 onwards. The exclusion criteria was articles on HDC in pediatric PC and articles that contain only technical information involving this route. The search resulted in 872 articles. Of these, 67 were fully analyzed, 42 of which were included. The summary of the new pharmaceutical recommendations regarding the administration of medications and fluids via HDC can help guide this professional in clarifying doubts and making evidence-based decisions, promoting the optimization of pharmacotherapy for patients under PC.
Stephanie Colin Regina de Sordi Copyright (c) 2024 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252099 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2099 Research on iron deficiency anemia and risk factors in preschool children https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2316
Iron deficiency is identified as the main causal determinant of most cases of anemia, and is currently the most prevalent nutritional deficiency in the world, affecting developed and developing countries. Among the populations at risk for iron deficiency anemia, preschool children constitute a vulnerable group, raising concern due to the losses it causes: impairment of mental development, delayed growth and physical development, increased frequency of morbidities, among others. In this context, this article shows data collection from the last 10 years with the aim of clarifying the current prevalence of anemia in preschool children in Brazil and what are its main risk factors. To prepare this work, a systematic search was carried out in the electronic databases Virtual Health Library (VHL), PubMed/Medline, LILACS and SciELO. The results obtained show that iron deficiency anemia in preschool children is strongly associated with several sociodemographic, dietary and health factors.
Fernanda Francischini Assunção Orivaldo Pereira Ramos Miriane Costa Gileno Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252316 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2316 Responsive architecture for cognitive health https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2169
Using an exploratory research methodology, this research seeks to provide support to designers and health professionals in creating built spaces capable of contributing to cognitive health and continuous learning throughout users' lives. To achieve this objective, the experimental concept of environmental enrichment (EA) was investigated through an integrative literature review, exploring its neuroscientific contributions in relation to the significant influence that the physical environment and its possibilities can exert on the structure of the brain, resulting in biological, psychological and social changes, especially during human aging. Although studies related to EA and brain plasticity generally consider animal models, it is clear that exposure to enriched environments can induce beneficial structural changes in the brain, resulting in improvements in cognitive capabilities, such as learning and cognitive reserve. The practical application of these concepts is configured through a diagram of design propositions, which can be incorporated into current and future architectural and urban constructions. This approach is supported by recent research with human models carried out over the last three years. Effects capable of mitigating chronic stress, anxiety and cognitive decline are constantly identified in the studies analyzed. Thus, considering the significant potential that the built environment has to influence human behavior, approaches that integrate neuroscience, architecture and learning are considered essential for the design of spaces aligned with the promotion of cognitive health throughout life.
Ciro Férrer Herbster Albuquerque Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-05-06 2025-05-06 28 2 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2169 Biological aspects of feathers evolution https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2108
The tretapod teguments has undergone several modifications throughout the their evolution, which it includes living and extinct groups, and it is related to several adaptive advantages, as the case of feather, a morphological trait that is currently restricted to birds. This character is the result of the tegument evolution in reptile groups since the Triassic. In this sense, this literature review aimed to investigate publications on the origin of feathers, their possible morphologies and ancestral stages, their development in living birds, the adaptive impacts of feathers and which groups presented feathers or their possible precursor stages. The ancestral feathers possibly arised in the Avemetatarsalia group whose origin refers to the Triassic period and would be structures that would enable thermal insulation and thus maintain higher metabolic rates than other groups in a competitive environment. Although there is no fossil evidence tracing morphological changes in feathers since their origin, an evolutionary model is accepted leading totake into account the evolutionary novelties that feathers present during their development in a characteristic scenario of Evo-Devo.
Glauco Verner Firmino Luis Gustavo da Conceição Galego Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252108 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2108 Steel-concrete composite connections in a fire condition: a review https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2224
Steel-concrete composite connections are characterized by the fact that the concrete slab participates in the transmission of forces from a composite beam to a column or another composite beam in the adjacent span. Although there are composite connections with known and consolidated behavior, there are still doubts about the working mechanism of steel-concrete composite connections in a fire situation, in which high temperatures significantly alter the distribution of resistance and stiffness, both in the connections and in the elements associated with them. In this scenario, there is a shortage of worldwide research evaluating the behavior of steel-concrete composite connections in a fire situation. The objective of this work was to conduct a bibliometric analysis and subsequent systematic literature review about research on steel-concrete composite connections in fire situations, to outline the state of the art on the subject and contribute to the advancement of research in the area from the identification of the main gaps in existing knowledge. Among the identified gaps, the recommendations for conducting investigations on the behavior of steel-concrete composite connections stand out, considering their relationship with the structure globally, in addition to their isolated behavior.
Renato Silva Nicoletti Alex Sander Clemente de Souza Saulo José de Castro Almeida Copyright (c) 2024 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252224 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2224 Hypopressive abdominal gymnastics in lumbopelvic disorders https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2170
The hypopressive abdominal gymnastics technique comprises exercises that generate a decrease in abdominal and thoracic pressure, combining controlled methods and abdominal traction maneuvers, reflexively activating the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. It can treat various dysfunctions related to the lumbopelvic region, such as urinary incontinence, diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles and low back pain. The objective was to carry out an integrative review on the effects of hypopressive gymnastics on urinary incontinence, diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles and low back pain. Furthermore, biomimetism requires minimally invasive techniques, with the aim of preserving tooth structure, seeking dental aesthetics and the use of adhesive materials. This approach is constantly evolving, so the objective of this study was to review on the literature the main aspects that characterize the biomimetism in restorative dentistry, involving dental materials, such as resins and adhesive systems, as well as stress reduction and maximum adhesion protocols to the dental substrate. The use of biomimetic materials and restorative protocols that seek to reduce the stress of polymerization contraction and achieve maximum adhesion are the main focuses of study within biomimetic restorative dentistry. This has been achieved with advances in the development of adhesive systems, protocols and different application techniques, for example. The use of minimally invasive in biomimetic techniques may help reduce pain and discomfort during care, with less traumatic interventions and longer-lasting results.

Flávia Rossi Caruso Ingrid Camilly Sotili Cristina Magnani Felício Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252152 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2152 Exploratory analysis of trends in urban agriculture https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2250
Feeding the world’s population in a nutritious and sustainable way is one of humanity's greatest challenges. The use of validated printed educational materials is one way of approaching topics that can contribute to individuals' knowledge and add value to health services. This study focused on constructing and validating an educational booklet on food and nutritional contexts for Primary Health Care (PHC) users with DM2. The booklet was developed by the researchers and validated by a group of judges made up of nutritionists and nurses. The evaluation considered the following domains: scientific accuracy, content, literary presentation, illustration, specific and comprehensible material and quality of information. After the judges' assessment, the Content Validity Index (CVI) was applied. Acceptable agreement was obtained when each item in the instrument had a minimum CVI value of 0.80. Although the Educational Booklet had a high overall CVI (0.99), the judges requested adjustments related to improving the content, including adjusting the spelling of the text, reformulating texts and figures to make them easier to understand and changing terms or expressions to make them simpler to read, in order to favor interpretation by the target audience as much as possible. The conclusion is that the Educational Booklet on food and nutritional contexts for PHC users with DM2, validated by expert judges, is a substantial tool to be used as a health promotion measure for this target audience.
Iury Souza Bruno da Costa Mariano Fábio da Costa Carbogim Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252269 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2269 Trend in precrisptions of antidepressants and anxiolytics in the fist year of the COVID-19 pandemic https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2263
The pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has led to several changes in society's behavioral patterns. Social isolation and the pandemic, in general, have been important factors in the development of various psychiatric disorders in Brazil and around the world, such as anxiety disorders and depression, as well as in the increase in prescriptions for antidepressants and anxiolytics. This study analyzed the trend in prescriptions for antidepressants and anxiolytics in 2020. A cross-sectional, retrospective and quantitative analysis was carried out, using prescriptions retained in units of a private pharmacy chain, from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, assessing the trend in prescriptions during the initial year of the pandemic. A total of 1072 prescriptions were analyzed, showing an increase in prescriptions for antidepressants and anxiolytics. There was a gender disparity between prescriptions for men and women, with women being more prevalent. There was a predominance of prescriptions made by general practitioners, indicating a shortage of specialists in the countryside. Finally, there is a need for public policies that enable greater monitoring of the dispensing of psychotropic drugs, as well as making more specialist doctors available in the interior of Brazil.
José Matheus Mendonça da Silva João Vítor Bezerra Firmiano Anekécia Lauro da Silva Matheus Rodrigues Lopes DIOGO VILAR FONSECA Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252263 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2263 The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health: characterization of the profile of users of a Psychosocial Care Center, in Ceará, Brazil https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/1991
The study aims to analyze the profile of users of a General CAPS in a city in northeastern Brazil in the context of the pandemic by COVID-1.This is a descriptive, cross-sectional and documental study, with a quali-quantitative approach. The majority of maternal deaths are due to preventable or treatable causes. It is extremely important to understand the factors that increase the risks of this event, and because of this, the present study sought to describe the epidemiological profile and characteristics related to maternal mortality that occurred in the city of Niterói in the period from 2006 to 2015. This is an epidemiological study with a descriptive nature and a quantitative approach, carried out using secondary data from Death Certificates (DO`s). 77 maternal deaths were recorded, predominantly 42.85% were residents of Niterói, 75.32% of the occurrences were in public hospital services, the age group was 30 to 39 years old and 20 to 29 years old (both 40%), 56 % black people (black and brown), 65% were single, 60.88% had a level of education less than or equal to high school, 46.75% worked at home and 49.35% of the causes were other obstetric conditions not classified in other parts (O94-O99). It is concluded that the epidemiological profile of maternal mortality that occurred in the city of Niterói in the period from 2006 to 2015 was higher among women of childbearing age and economically active, black, who did not have a campaneiro, who had a low level of education, who did not have profession and place of occurrence was in hospital environments. The data observed are relevant for surveying the profile of maternal mortality in Niterói, as it will contribute to directing public health actions, specifically improving maternal health care.
Raíssa Rodrigues Organista Jorge Luiz Lima da Silva Cristina Portela da Mota Francisco Antônio da Cruz dos Santos Wallace Henrique Pinho da Paixão Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252254 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2254 Characterization of patients using warfarin in relation to functional health literacy and identification of associated factors https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2247
Low functional health literacy in patients on warfarin anticoagulation has been widely discussed in the literature. Objective: To identify the quality of oral anticoagulation over time and to analyze the association between this variable and functional health literacy. Prospective cohort study conducted in an anticoagulation clinic in Minas Gerais, at a high complexity hospital. The study included 81 patients, whose data were collected through direct consultation of medical records or by asking questions during the waiting period for appointments. The quality of oral anticoagulation was assessed at 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months after the start of the study, with analyses of the association between this variable and functional health literacy at different time points. The quality of oral anticoagulation was identified by calculating the Therapeutic Time Range (TTR), with good quality defined as TTR values >59%. Inadequate control of oral anticoagulation was observed, with only 20% of patients showing persistent improvement in TTR values over the study period. No statistically significant association was found at different measurement times between TTR and functional health literacy. There was no direct association between the quality of oral anticoagulation and functional health literacy. However, the low incidence of persistence in anticoagulation quality among patients with low literacy suggests the need for specific educational interventions for this subgroup of patients.
Gustavo Chaves de Souza Carla Jorge Machado Mayara Oliveira Ortiz Maria Auxiliadora Parreiras Martins Josiane Moreira da Costa Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252247 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2247 Late clinical outcomes of patients after Chikungunya fever https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2287
Chikungunya Fever (CF) is a disease that can progress through several phases, with late clinical outcomes, direct or indirect, and it is therefore important to evaluate how patients progress to late phases, with clinical manifestations of the disease. The article aims to analyze the prevalence of late clinical outcomes of patients reported and confirmed with CF, as well as specific health measures for treatment. A cross-sectional study was carried out in January and February 2018, with 121 patients reported and confirmed by the disease two years before data collection, in the municipality of Capistrano, Ceará. The data were analyzed using the EPI INFO 7.0 program, generating percentage frequencies, displayed in tables, subsequently interpreted and discussed with the literature on the subject. Among the direct late clinical outcomes, joint pain (118; 97.5%), musculoskeletal pain (82; 67.8%), and joint edema (54; 44.6%) were the most prevalent; in relation to indirect late clinical outcomes, decompensation of comorbidities (12; 9.9%); and, atypical manifestations such as changes in the nervous system (18; 14.9%), in the eyes (18; 14.9%) and other reasons (11; 9.1%) were the most common. Late, direct and indirect clinical outcomes are diverse and serious, implying the development of effective public policies, in favor of patients' quality of life.
Regina Kelly Guimarães Gomes Campos Rosangela Martins de Souza Samia Jardelle Costa de Freitas Maniva Isabel Cristina Oliveira de Morais Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252287 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2287 Microsimulation applied to determine road capacity and Level of Service https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2197
The current urban expansion and the continuous increase in vehicles on the road system make traffic engineering crucial in modeling sustainable solutions for urban mobility. However, this field of knowledge dedicated to the study and management of vehicular flow faces increasing challenges arising from the complexity of road traffic. Traffic microsimulation, an advanced computational tool, offers the opportunity to evaluate traffic behavior in detail and the effectiveness of infrastructure projects and mobility policies. In this context, the objective of this paper is to assess the road capacity and the Level of Service (LOS) of the “S Curve” Viaduct (Praia Grande-SP, Brazil) and its surroundings, considering operational changes related to road characteristics and the vehicle flow in different periods of analysis. Traffic microsimulations were carried out using the VISSIM software, in which four models were applied for two distinct periods, the current one (2023) and the end of a 20-year time horizon (2043). In the first model, the previous operation of the viaduct was evaluated; the second and third models addressed the current operation, differing only in the access priority to the SP-055 Highway; and in the fourth model, the duplication already planned for the viaduct was considered. The results indicate that only the fourth model would result in satisfactory operational conditions for current traffic (2023). As for predicted traffic (2043), all models suggest some level of congestion, although these less satisfactory results may be associated with system overload in information processing. Future work is encouraged to calibrate the software parameters, and further investigate trends in the region.
Lucas Medina Fernando Hirosue Marcelo Monari Thais Guerreiro Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 e 20252197 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2197 Deformation and internal forces of statically determinate beams using discontinuity functions: development of software https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2273
This work presents the development of a new numerical application called "Magie", which uses mathematical discontinuity functions to calculate internal forces and generalized displacements of simply supported beams with multiple loads. Developed on the MATLAB platform, the application can calculate the bending moment M, shear force V, elastic line v(x), slopes θ(x), rotation θ, deflection v, and support reactions of simply supported, homogeneous, and isotropic beams with uniformly distributed loads, concentrated forces, and moments. Its user-friendly interface includes windows, buttons, guides, and graphs. The inputs include the geometry of the beam (positions of the supports, length, and cross-section), the applied loads, and Young's modulus (E). The numerical results obtained are validated by comparisons with exact and numerical solutions from the literature. The differential equations governing the problem are formulated in terms of discontinuity functions, reducing the number of unknowns compared to traditional solutions that use functions by beam segment. Free and in Portuguese, the application follows the national system for plotting internal force diagrams and is useful for theoretical and practical courses in engineering.
Albert Willian Faria Júlia Fontanesi Sousa Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252273 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2273 Finite Element analysis of local buckling in cold-formed steel rack columns with edge-stiffened holes https://www.revistarebram.com/index.php/revistauniara/article/view/2222
Cold-formed steel sections are an efficient and economical way to build structural columns. They have high slenderness due to their low thickness, thus are prone to global, local and distortional buckling. They usually have holes to fit connections or instalations, that may reduce their resistance and make their behaviour more complex. To reduce its holes bad effects, their edges may be stiffened. This work analyzes the efficiency of edge-stiffened rectangular holes in cold-formed rack colums. Finite Element analysis by software ANSYS was used to evaluate colums without holes, with non-stiffened holes, with holes containing one lateral edge stiffened end with holes containing tho lateral edges stiffened. Results indicated that adoption of one edge-stiffened lateral holes avoided local buckling between holes with lenght up to 20% higuer than columns web width, and the two edge-stiffened holes up to lenght 30% higuer than columns web width. Due to similar efficiency and considering the usual assemblage of industrial storage systems, a one edge-stiffened hole may be a reccomendation to practical uses.
Flávio Teixeira de Souza Guilherme Henrique Ferreira Arlene Maria Cunha Sarmanho Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Brasileira Multidisciplinar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-01 2025-01-01 28 2 20252222 10.25061/2527-2675/ReBraM/2025.v28i2.2222
