Arquitetura responsiva à saúde cognitiva: a influência dos ambientes enriquecidos para o lifelong learning The influence of enriched environments for lifelong learning

Resumo

Utilizando uma metodologia de pesquisa exploratória, o presente trabalho busca fornecer suporte a projetistas e a profissionais da saúde na criação de espaços construídos capazes de contribuir para a saúde cognitiva e o aprendizado contínuo ao longo da vida dos usuários. Para alcançar esse objetivo, o conceito experimental de enriquecimento ambiental (EA) foi investigado por meio de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, explorando suas contribuições neurocientíficas em relação à influência significativa que o ambiente físico e suas possibilidades podem exercer sobre a estrutura do cérebro, resultando em alterações biológicas, psicológicas e sociais, especialmente durante o envelhecimento humano. Embora os estudos relacionados ao EA e à plasticidade cerebral geralmente consideram modelos animais, evidencia-se que a exposição a ambientes enriquecidos pode induzir alterações estruturais benéficas no cérebro, resultando em aprimoramentos nas capacidades cognitivas, como aprendizagem e reserva cognitiva. A aplicação prática desses conceitos é configurada por meio de um diagrama de proposições de projeto, que pode ser incorporado em construções arquitetônicas e urbanísticas atuais e futuras. Este enfoque é apoiado por pesquisas recentes com modelos humanos, realizadas nos últimos três anos. Efeitos capazes de mitigar o estresse crônico, quadros de ansiedade e declínio cognitivo são constantemente identificados nos estudos analisados. Assim, considerando o potencial significativo que o ambiente construído possui para influenciar o comportamento humano, as abordagens que integram neurociência, arquitetura e aprendizagem são consideradas essenciais para a concepção de espaços alinhados com a promoção da saúde cognitiva ao longo da vida.
